Our story

Built Around Prayer, Learning, and Neighbors

Masjid Iman is a Brooklyn community masjid shaped by the families, students, elders, and neighbors who gather here every day. What began as a place to establish prayer has grown into a welcoming home for worship, Qur’an learning, advice, and shared support.

The masjid continues to grow through the care of the community. Every visit, class, donation, and act of service helps keep Masjid Iman open and active for the next family that walks through the door.

How to Enter the Masjid

The entrance to Masjid Iman is located on 6th Ave. Follow these simple steps when you arrive:

Come to 5524 6th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11220.
Look for the building with the Masjid Iman sign on the front.
Use the Elevated metal path by the side facing 56th street.
Upon entering, remove your shoes at the shoe racks.
Wudu area and restrooms are signposted inside.

Entrance Directions

When you arrive on 6th Ave, stand in front of the building at 5524. The masjid entrance is the door closest to the corner. If you are unsure, look around the corner, a metal pathway leads up to the Masjid doorway.
